REFLEXOLOGY 1ST LEVEL
You will learn to stimulate and soothe the various foot “reflex zones” to rebalance them; you will learn about which nervous system it works, where, when to intervene, and when to avoid the treatment.
I think everyone nowadays have heard at least once about plantar reflexology.
However, what is it exactly, how is it practiced and who does, does it hurt or do well?
I can guarantee you that it is one of the most fascinating things that nature may have decided to give the human being.
The first outlines of reflexology date back to 5000 years ago in areas like China and India, you should think that in Akhamahor tomb (better known as the doctor’s grave) was found a wall painting representing the “map of reflexology” dated 2,330 BC
Calmly it also arrived to the Western world (1872 … !!!) thanks to the US MD Dott.W.H.Fitzgerald, undisputed father of modern reflexology.
You have no clue of how many and which disorders are resolved! Pay attention I said “disorders” not “diseases”! We would be in trouble if the official medicine were not there! It is clear that if we can assist ourselves with “natural methods” then, it will be more than welcome.
A myth to debunk is what I hear often: “But is it true that it hurts”?
Absolutely no! I repeat… Absolutely NO!
There will be some body parts where the finger pressure will be more painful, but once identified, the pain is eased gently massaging it! Moreover, if the finger pressure is extreme, it must be reminded that the finger pressure should be aimed to loosen up the pain itself.
It is all about trying, a thousand words will not describe the benefits with dignity.
Reflexology works on the whole person in order to allow the achievement of a state of balance and harmony.

It is a technique based on the pressure of specific reflex points of the foot, which is based on the premise that these reflex zones have correspondences in all parts of the body.
The reflex is an involuntary response to a stimulus.
Each body part is ready to receive a reflexology involvement since the body is projected on each peripheral part in such a way that its general situation, central and peripheral, can always be integrated and felt by the whole body.
Reflexology operating principle is linked to neurological reflexes of spinal nerves, exiting the spinal cord and connecting to the peripheral nervous system.
If an organ is suffering produces a nerve stimulation, which is transmitted to the spinal cord and from this, comes to well-defined skin areas (reflex zones) causing skin sensitivity or muscle.
The same mechanism works in the other direction: a muscle strain or a traumatic peripheral lesion may influence the corresponding organ.
Plantar Reflexology Technique
The technique of reflexology massage (although it is not really a real massage) is executed through a series of small exercised tight stimulation mainly by the pad of the thumb, which proceeds on the area to be treated with an “earthworm” movement. This movement transmits impulses to the nerve zones putting in tune with the natural rhythms of the body.
All these “reflex zones” have to be treated by a manual STIMULATION unless they excessively hurt because of finger pressure. Only in that case they will be treated through manual SEDATION.
The plantar reflexologist, ALWAYS WORKS FOR THE WELFARE OF PEOPLE. HOWEVER, He is NOT A DOCTOR, AND Does NOT REQUIRE AND DIAGNOSE AND IS INTENDED ONLY to Balance BODY IN ITS ENTIRETY.
What is the Plantar Reflexology worth of?
Foot Reflexology is a simple, effective and natural way that helps people to remain in a state of good health.
- It RECOVERS the physical and mental body harmony.
- It STIMULATES to the fullest body’s immune defences.
- It has HIGH POWER cell regeneration capacity because of its revitalizing of the Glandular System.
- It delivers an augmented strength to the whole body and improves the physical appearance of people.
- It ACTS as a means of toxin purification, improving the state of the skin and muscle tone.
- It BETTERS circulation and blood oxygenation promoting better breathing.
- It is RECOMMENDED for all ages including children and the elderly.
95% of people treated with Foot Reflexology react very well to reflexology massage, only in some cases; the expectations are not satisfactory, due to the excessive stress and lack of energy in the body.
The Foot Reflexology establishes a very close contact between the person’s feet and hands of those who work. The operator’s hands, delicate and sensitive, can perceive the patient’s physical or mental condition. The feet of the person have the capacity to communicate to our hands.

During the first few sessions, some of the organism reactions, which we can consider normal, are:
- Relaxation Feeling that encourages rest.
- Increased urinary secretions, which become more turbid and intensely coloured and with a strong odour.
- unusual colour of faeces and flatulence. In this case, it is generally recommended to drink plenty of fluids devoid of sugars from the first treatment.
- Various emotional reactions at a psychical level. All this is normal because the treatment is going to stir the toxins in the body that are then eliminated through the excretory organs and the side effects of massage will reduce their intensity and will not show lately, leaving a feeling of relaxation and general well-being.
It is important, also, during the treatment, to monitor the reaction of the subject that could feel cold, could be sweating both feet and hands, and could experience drowsiness or agitation. All these events are to be controlled and carefully evaluated to perform an excellent treatment.
It is recommended the reflex massage to be practiced in order to allow the maximum of well-being to the person who is under treatment. It is ideal a fairly spacious and well ventilated treatment zone, with a pleasant temperature, sufficiently quiet, to facilitate the psychological patient participation to the treatment. A relaxing low-volume background music will complete the calm and relaxed atmosphere.
The masseur must be able to “handle” the patient feet with the greatest of ease. A massage table is the best solution for the treatment, which can also be performed over comfortable chair, or to the limit over two chairs placed facing each other.

We’ve prepared a few step by step demonstration videos to let you discover how to immediately put these techniques into practise.
